Adult Services in Allegheny County Libraries

Page history last edited by Charity 2 months, 3 weeks ago

The guest speaker portion of each meeting of the Adult Programming Forum has been approved for .5 CE hour! Join us for idea sharing, guest speakers from across the region and CE hours.

The Adult Programming Forum will be blending with the Older Adult Forum.  Thank you to the 30 libraries who participated in the survey providing valuable feedback.  In response to your suggestions there will be four meetings in 2012 – two held at the ACLA offices, one held at a centrally located library and one special meeting using GoToMeeting.  Each meeting will continue to include time for programs swaps and open discussion among participating library staff.  Join us for conversation on programming and service ideas for adults of all ages including older adults.

Any interested library staff are welcome to attend.  We encourage your library to include a representative to share what you’ve been doing and to gather great ideas to take back to the library.  Dates, times and other information are posted here.   Meeting agendas are shared in advance with the Programming Adult and Programming Older Adult email lists.  Any interested library staff are welcome to sign-up to be part of the Programming Adult and/or Programming Older Adult email lists by sending an email to leonettec [at] einetwork.net.

Started in 2009, the Adult Programming Forum is a way for staff across County libraries to share information on programming and services for adults of all ages.  Share your programming ideas, post questions, and share comments. Started in 2003, the Allegheny County Library Association (ACLA) Older Adult Forum was convened in order for librarians to share program ideas and resources specifically for the Older Adult library population.
